Kearney schools will dismiss early Thursday, March 12, Superintendent Dr. Chris Belcher announced Monday, March 9. He said secondary schools will dismiss and 1:20 p.m. and elementary schools will dismiss at 2:30 p.m. to give student time to attend the Kearney High School boys basketball state semifinals game at 5:10 p.m. at Mizzou Arena in Columbia. Belcher said he wanted to give students time to get to the game without feeling the need to speed on Interstate 70.
