The city of Kearney will pay up to $8,000 for a traffic engineering study to verify findings by a developer.
At its meeting Monday, Aug. 3, the Kearney Board of Aldermen approved the proposal for Transystems to conduct a study around the intersection of Missouri Highway 92 and Interstate 35 in Kearney. City Administrator Jim Eldridge said developer Tim Harris of Liberty has already done a traffic study through another company, but it is the city’s policy to conduct its own study to verify the results. “I think it’s a good idea, actually, to have our own data,” said David Pavlich, community development director.
Pick up the Thursday, Aug. 13, edition of The Kearney Courier for more information on the traffic study, development plans and other action from the meeting.
