The Honor Run cross-country motorcycle ride will stop in Kearney at about 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, and depart at 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31. The Kearney Police Department will be blocking intersections for the bikers to go to and from the Kearney Amphitheater and Interstate 35 during those times. The group will be traveling on Missouri Highway 33 (Jefferson Street) to Missouri Highway 92 (Sixth Street). There will also be an auction at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Stables Grill in Kearney for the Honor Run. The Honor Run is raising money for a Fisher House, a place for wounded veterans’ families to stay while they seek medical care and rehabilitation. For more information, visit www.thehonorrun.org.
