Tax helpPosted by kevinsmith in The Hurried Courier |
|
More than 20 people were in line at the library at 8:50 a.m. – 10 minutes before the doors opened. Others waited in their cars.
They were senior citizens waiting for AARP assistance with taxes.
Librarians didn’t open the doors a minute early.
AARP will be at the Kearney branch of the Mid-Continent Public Library, 100 S. Platte Clay Way, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Thursday to help elderly and others with taxes.
Pick up the Thursday, Feb. 11, edition of The Kearney Courier for more on tax help.
