Comparisons to other school districts may be one of the reasons why Kearney R-1 School District patrons gave their classroom technology a “C” grade in a recent survey, according to Superintendent Bill Nicely.

“We are choosing what we perceive to be the least impact on students in the classroom,” Superintendent Dr. Bill Nicely told the board.

The last thing Superintendent Dr. Bill Nicely wants to do is cut teachers.
“When you have a group of people – employees – and their mission in life is to educate kids, that’s pretty powerful,” Nicely said.
